Last chance to comment on new operator

Monday may be our last chance to comment on the new operator of the Cerrito Theater.

On Monday, at 8 p.m., June 29, 2009, at City Hall, 10890 San Pablo Ave., the El Cerrito City Council/Redevelopment Agency is likely to approve a new operator for the historic Cerrito Theater. Rialto Cinemas, aka the Pleasantown Motion Picture Co., has been identified by city staff as their preferred choice. [click to continue…]

City staff has recommended that the operator of Berkeley’s Elmwood Theater be chosen to run the Cerrito. City Manager Scott Hanin told the City Council/Redevelopment Agency Monday night about the staff’s choice. It will, of course, be up to the council/agency to make the final decision.
